Thermal therapy has a long standing history of 5,000 years
as a method of treatment for cancer. As technology has advanced, hyperthermia
has shown to produce better outcomes in patients that receive hyperthermia treatment in conjunction to chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments. While the
most efficient and effective treatments currently available are invasive,
procedures that are less invasive, as well as non- invasive hyperthermia
procedures, should emerge.
